Commercial Property Coverage Forms & Endorsements (8 hours)
Learn how to explain major elements of the Building and Personal Property Coverage Form to your clients. Discuss these elements, as well as different valuation methods, the application of coinsurance, and various methods used to insure fluctuating property values. Analyze policy provisions including Covered Property, Additional Coverages, Coverage Extensions, and Optional Coverages. Review important Commercial Property endorsements and how they are used to fill specific policyholder needs.
Commercial Property Causes of Loss & Endorsements (3 hours)
Understand and explain the coverages, exclusions, and limitations of the Causes of Loss – Special Form (CP 10 30) to your clients. Examine those elements and the coverage provided when the form is combined with the Building and Personal Property Coverage Form to provide coverage under a Commercial Property Policy. Analyze selected endorsements used to fill specific policyholder needs.
Time Element Coverages & Endorsements (5 hours)
- Support your clients as they face significant Business Income and Extra Expense exposures. Learn methods for providing your clients with appropriate insurance protection. Analyze various Time Element Coverage Forms including a coinsurance approach, as well as the use of Optional Coverages that eliminate or suspend the coinsurance conditions contained in the coverage forms. Review selected endorsements used to enhance coverage.

Jerry owned and managed an agency in Grand Coulee, Washington, for over 40 years. He has long been an advocate of professional continuing education having earned his CIC designation in 1983 and is a National Faculty member and Educational Consultant for the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. Active in the industry, Jerry served on the technical committee of the Independent Agents of Washington and chaired the Far West Agents conference, a technical forum with Insurance Services Office. He currently serves as faculty for IIAA's Virtual University. Jerry was honored by the PIA of Washington/Alaska as "Agent of the Year" in 1994 and served as President of the Association in 1997-1998. Jerry is an active volunteer in his community and in 1995 was named "Business Person of the Year" by the Grand Coulee Dam Chamber of Commerce.

He has been an Underwriting Manager, Sales Manager, Excess and Surplus Lines Underwriter, and an Independent Insurance Agent. Patrick publishes articles and conducts seminars on a state and national basis regarding technical subjects of property and casualty insurance for insurance and trade associations. In addition, Patrick has served as an insurance consultant and testified as an expert witness in various fields associated with the insurance industry. Currently, Patrick is a licensed Risk Manager in Texas. He founded Risk Management and Insurance Education Services in Austin, Texas, an independent company which serves insurance companies, agents, and insureds. Patrick holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, which he obtained in 1984. He has been a National Faculty member for The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research (now known as the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance) since 1986.

Christine Marciano is a Sales & Training Leader for WCF Insurance, a 105-year-old insurance carrier. She was previously with Nationwide where her sales successes earned her a place at Conference of Champions for several years. With 17 years of industry experience, she has worked in Claims, Agent & Underwriter Training, and Sales. She currently manages a California territory for WCF. Christine travels nationally to work with agents, sales managers & underwriters teaching coverage, communications, and sales. As a seasoned conference speaker, she has been named twice by Training magazine as an Emerging Training Leader. She has received Nationwide's CEO Award, holds an Advanced Communicator Bronze from Toastmasters, and is a published author. Christine is active in SITE (Society of Insurance Trainers & Educators) and is a faculty member of the Train the Trainer program, designed to educate insurance training professionals across the U.S. Christine has a Business degree from Oregon State University, and received her CIC designation in 2007.
